2010 Sprint Bandit Schedule

Perhaps when USAC finally implodes, the Sprint Bandits can move in and carry the banner for non-wing racing. The Bandits have one stop at I-80 Speedway on August 16.

2010 Tentative ASCS Midwest Schedule

I came across the first copy of the ASCS Midwest’s 2010 schedule today. Not sure how much it will change from now until the season starts, but it gives you a pretty good idea on what to expect.

One interesting note, I-80 Speedway has scheduled a two-day ASCS MW vs Northern Plains show for Friday and Saturday, April 9-10. This is in direct conflict with Eagle’s planned open house and Ice Breaker Challenge.

2010 Eagle Raceway Schedule

budsprintclasslogoEagle Raceway starts its 2010 campaign with an open house night on April 9, followed by the Ice Breaker Challenge on April 10.

Eagle has added yet another class of cars in 2010, with the B mods joining the established program of sprints, modifieds, hobby stocks and sport compacts.

Two classes of mods? FIVE total classes? Well, looks like I’ll spend a grand total of four nights at Eagle next summer.

The Eagle Nationals, historically a World of Outlaws show, has been switched to a National ASCS show for 2010. The Nebraska Cup will be a sanctioned ASCS Midwest/Northern Plains race.

2010 World of Outlaws Schedule Released

Eagle drops their annual Outlaw show, but Junction Motor Speedway picks it up. I’ll admit, seeing the World of Outlaws ten minutes from where I grew up will be cool, but WoO shows have been unsatisifying the past couple of woo_sprint_10_250x150seasons. Changes need to be made within the WoO to create better racing. At nearly $40 per ticket, it would be nice to see more than a handful of passes in a night.

Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series Releases Preliminary 2010 Schedule

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (December 9, 2009) – With a banner 2009 season recently logged into the record books, Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters officials have already been hard at work on what will prove to be an even better 2010 season.

Praised by fans, promoters and competitors alike as the nation’s most intensively competitive touring Sprint Car series, a preliminary 2010 slate of 35 nights of competition at fifteen different tracks throughout a dozen different states was released for the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters.

The 2010 schedule of events very much reflects the 2009 schedule, with new venues added including a July stop at Spencer, Iowa’s Clay County Fairgrounds (leading into the annual event at South Dakota’s I-90 Speedway) and a two-day stand at Nebraska’s Eagle Raceway on June 11-12.
